What we do
Everything a yard needs, one crew.
From paver patios, fire pits and retaining walls to walkways, planting, sod, irrigation and drainage — Easley Does It designs and builds it all across Raleigh and Greenville, NC, with the same crew from first sketch to finished yard.

01Service
Paver Patios & Fire Pits
This is where Easley Does It shines. We design and install paver, brick and natural-stone patios, wood-burning and gas fire pits, seat walls, outdoor cooking areas, pergolas and gazebos — built on a proper compacted base so they stay flat and true for years. "Kyle and his crew did an excellent job of designing and installing a new patio and fire pit area in our back yard," one client wrote — "communicative, friendly, and respectful." We handle the whole thing, from the first design sketch to the final swept joint.

02Service
Walkways & Driveways
A driveway or front walk sets the tone for the whole property. We build walkways and driveways in pavers, natural stone, brick, stamped concrete and gravel, with clean soldier-course borders and a base that won't heave or settle. Herringbone entry aprons, curved paths through a wooded yard, refinished steps meeting new paver landings — we make sure the approach to your home is no longer a boring part of the landscape.

03Service
Retaining Walls
Retaining walls do real structural work — holding back soil, terracing a slope, or dividing one area of the yard from another — and they have to be built right to last. We install segmental block and natural-stone walls with proper base, backfill and drainage behind them, curved or straight, standalone or tied into a patio and seat wall. Done well, a wall turns an unusable bank into flat, planted, livable ground.

04Service
Planting, Beds & Landscape Lighting
Kyle brings real plant knowledge — "expertise regarding plants including what will do well & last a long time," as one review put it. We design and install planting beds, trees and shrubs chosen to thrive in North Carolina soil and sun, low-maintenance river-rock and mulch beds, and custom landscape lighting that highlights the house, the walkways and the planting once the sun goes down. One client had accent lighting installed as part of a job that "completely transformed the look of our house."

05Service
Irrigation & Drainage
Water is what makes or breaks a landscape. We install sprinkler and subsurface irrigation systems to keep lawns and beds healthy through a Carolina summer, and we solve the other side of the problem too — French drains, surface drains, downspout tie-ins and regrading to pull water away from foundations, patios and low spots. One client hired us for "fixing drainage, grading and sodding," all handled by the same crew on the same schedule.

06Service
Seeding, Sod & Yard Transformations
Whether you need a fresh front lawn or a whole property rethought, we do it. We grade and prep ground, lay sod or seed for a new lawn, and take on full yard transformations — including overgrown, "unsightly" backyards revamped into something you'd want to sit in. "We hired Easley Does It to completely revamp our backyard," one client wrote — "Kyle designed a backyard that was beautiful and exactly what we had in mind." One crew, from the first walk-through to the finished, growing-in yard.
How a project runs
Design-build, start to finish.
Easley Does It is a true design-build operation — the same person who designs your yard is the one running the crew that builds it. Here's how a typical project moves, so you know what to expect before you ever sign anything.
1 · The estimate
StepA free, no-obligation visit and a real conversation about the yard.
Kyle comes out, walks the property with you, listens to how you want to use the space, and talks through what's possible and roughly what it takes. No charge, no pressure — just a straight read on the project.
2 · The design
StepA plan built around what you actually want — tweaked until it's right.
Not sure what you want? Kyle designs it. Several clients say exactly that: "I wasn't at all sure what I wanted, so Kyle created a design which we then worked together to tweak to my liking." You see the plan before anything is built.
3 · The build
StepOne crew, on time, on a tight schedule, keeping you posted.
Grading and base prep, hardscape, planting, irrigation, drainage and lighting — all handled by Kyle's own crew. "Always on time, worked hard, and followed a tight schedule," as one review put it, with Kyle easy to reach the whole way through.
4 · The finish
StepLeft clean, done right, and built to last.
The site is cleaned up, the work is done to the plan, and the materials and plants are chosen to hold up for years. Clients keep Kyle on for future phases and send him to their neighbors — the whole reason the business has grown.
Every project starts with a free on-site estimate.

How we approach the work
Cared for, not just cut back.
What sets Easley Does It apart isn't a longer service list — it's how the work is built. Here is what that means in practice.
Design and build, one crew
The person who designs your yard runs the crew that builds it. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a subcontractor, and Kyle is on the job and reachable the whole way through.
The base is everything
Most hardscape failures trace back to a skipped base. We excavate to depth, compact crushed stone in lifts, set edge restraint and lock the joints — so patios and walkways stay flat and true for years.
Water handled first
Grading, drains and downspout tie-ins go in before the pavers do. A patio built on a yard that pools water won't last — so we solve the drainage as part of the build, not as an afterthought.
Plants that will last
"Expertise knowledge regarding plants including what will do well & last a long time," as one review put it. We plant for North Carolina soil and sun so the yard looks better every season, not just on day one.
How we work
Free estimate, a real design, one crew.
01
A free on-site estimate
Kyle comes out, walks the property with you and listens to how you want to use the space — then puts a clear design and price to it. Whether it's a single patio or a full yard transformation, the estimate is free and there's no obligation.
02
Design, then build — one crew
Not sure what you want? Kyle designs it, then works with you to tweak it to your liking. His crew handles the build start to finish — grading, base prep, pavers, planting, irrigation and lighting — on time and on a tight schedule, keeping you updated the whole way.
03
Built to last, and backed
Kyle brings real plant and materials knowledge — what will thrive, what will last — so the yard still looks right years later. Clients keep him on and refer him to neighbors, which is exactly how the business has grown.
Before you call
Questions we're asked most.
Do you charge for an estimate?
No. On-site estimates are always free and come with no obligation. Kyle comes out, walks the property with you, listens to what you want, and puts a clear price to it — whether it's a single patio or a full yard transformation. You're under no pressure to book anything.
Do you design the project, or do I need a plan already?
We design it. Easley Does It is a design-build company, so the same person who designs your yard runs the crew that builds it. Not sure what you want? That's normal — several clients say exactly that. As one review put it, "I wasn't at all sure what I wanted, so Kyle created a design which we then worked together to tweak to my liking."
Who actually does the work?
Kyle Easley and his own crew. Kyle was born and raised in Greenville, NC, started landscaping at 13, studied business at East Carolina University and took technical landscaping courses at NC State and Wake Tech. He's on the job and reachable throughout — clients mention again and again that he was "easy to get ahold of" and "available for any questions or concerns."
Which areas do you cover?
We work in two parts of North Carolina: the Raleigh and Wake County area — including Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Wake Forest, Garner and Knightdale — and the Greenville area out east, including Winterville, Ayden and Farmville. Kyle splits his time between the two. If you're not sure whether you're in range, just call and ask.
What kinds of projects do you take on?
Everything from a single walkway to a whole-property redesign: paver and stone patios, fire pits, seat walls and outdoor living areas, walkways and driveways, retaining walls, planting and beds, sod and seeding, irrigation, drainage and grading, and landscape lighting. If it's landscape or hardscape, we most likely do it.
How do you make sure a patio or wall lasts?
It's all in the base and the drainage. We excavate to the right depth, compact crushed stone in lifts, set proper edge restraint, and build in the grading and drainage before the first paver goes down — then lock the joints with polymeric sand. Most hardscape failures come from skipping those steps, and we don't.
Can you fix drainage or a soggy yard?
Yes — it's a common one. We install French drains, surface drains and downspout tie-ins, and regrade to pull water away from foundations, patios and low spots. One client hired us for "fixing drainage, grading and sodding" as part of a larger project, all handled by the same crew.
Do you handle the whole job, or just part of it?
The whole job, with one crew. Grading, base prep, hardscape, planting, irrigation, drainage and lighting are all handled in-house on a single schedule — "always on time, worked hard, and followed a tight schedule," as one review put it — so you're not coordinating three different contractors.
Will you come back for future phases?
Yes, and many clients do exactly that. Because we know your property, we're well placed to build the next phase — a patio this year, planting and lighting the next — and clients regularly refer us to their neighbors. That repeat and referral work is how the business has grown from a teenager mowing lawns into what it is today.
Not sure where to start?
That's what the free estimate is for. Kyle will walk the property with you, tell you straight what's involved and how he'd build it, and put a clear price to it.
